Job SummaryUnder the general oversight of the Director of Information Security, the Engineering Systems Analyst leads the planning, development, implementation, and governance of artificial intelligence (AI) solutions that improve customer service, employee productivity, and operational efficiency while maintaining the highest standards of cybersecurity and data privacy. The Engineering System Analyst will develop secure AI applications, integrate AI technologies into existing enterprise systems, and assist in establishing best practices for responsible AI adoption.
This position will work closely with Information Technology, Information Security, Executive Leadership, and other internal departments to identify opportunities to enhance business processes with AI without compromising critical infrastructure or sensitive customer information.
- Assist in the development and implementation of Providence Water’s AI roadmap while evaluating emerging AI technologies and recommending enterprise solutions.
- Collaborate with department leaders to identify and recommend opportunities to improve customer experience using AI.
- Design, build, test, and deploy AI-powered applications and conversational assistants for customers and employees.
- Build and deploy secure Application Programming Interface (APIs) that connect AI applications to enterprise systems.
- Assist in the design, build, and management of AI architectures that use Zero Trust principles, ensuring compliance with cybersecurity policies, and protecting the confidential customer and organizational data.
- Perform security and risk assessments, and collaborate with the cybersecurity team to perform vulnerability and penetration testing.
- Responsible for AI governance duties such as developing AI usage standards, monitoring AI system performance, evaluating model accuracy and bias, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and privacy requirements.
- Maintain documentation for AI systems and applications.
- Adhere to all Providence Water safety procedures.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a similar field of study.
- The ideal candidate should have 2 years of progressive experience in software engineering, application development, AI integration, or a related field. Experience with Artificial Intelligence or Machine Learning technologies preferred.
- Familiarity with machine learning, such as PyTorch, Pandas, Num Py, Tensor Flow, Scikit-learn, and AI Frameworks such as Lang Chain, OpenAI API’s.
- Proven ability to develop, integrate, monitor, and continuously improve AI platforms within a hybrid enterprise environment.
- Thorough understanding of Amazon Web Services (AWS) services (Lambda, ECS, Bedrock, S3, Cloud Watch, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) Systems and various Information Retrieval models
- Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license.
- Must be able to perform all essential functions of the job.
