Litigation Associate – General Litigation
Providence, RI (Hybrid flexibility available)
Full-Time $120,000 – $150,000/year
About the FirmEstablished full-service, business-focused law firm founded in 1960, headquartered in Providence, RI. 150–200 attorneys.
The RoleWe're seeking a Litigation Associate with 2–7 years of commercial litigation experience to join a thriving general litigation practice. You'll work on complex commercial disputes alongside senior attorneys, with increasing responsibility over time.
Responsibilities- Draft and argue motions
- Manage discovery and pleadings
- Participate in depositions
- Assist in trials and hearings
- Conduct legal research
- Develop litigation strategy with senior attorneys
- Billable goal of 1,800–1,900 hours.
- 3–5 years of commercial litigation experience
- Strong oral advocacy and writing skills
- Comfortable with client-facing responsibilities
- A solutions-oriented mindset
- Multi-state admission preferred
- Must be admitted and in good standing in Rhode Island
- CT admission strongly preferred; MA a plus
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- CT, RI, or MA-based candidates strongly preferred
