Position Summary:
Responsible for overall management of the East Street Independent Living Program (ILP). The East Street Independent Living Program supports 6 transition age youth with housing, case management, and development of independent living skills. The Program Supervisor is responsible for supervising program staff, program budget, staff scheduling, program purchases, strategic planning, and ensure the safety, nurturance, and care of the residents.
- Overall management of the East Street Independent Living Program (ILP)
- Supervise program staff and staff scheduling
- Manage program budget and program purchases
- Strategic planning and implementation
- Ensure safety, nurturance, and care of residents
- Bachelor’s degree in human services required.
- Extensive experience in child welfare, youth programming, and/or related fields.
- Willingness and capability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as scheduled and on-call responsibilities.
- Knowledge of and sensitivity to cultural, ethnic, racial and socioeconomic issues.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and proof of automobile insurance and registration required.
- Bilingual/ASL skills compensated by an additional 6%, above base pay.
- Multilingual skills compensated by an additional 8%, above base pay.
- Travel to and from community locations and residential site locations, which could include using walkways, stairs and/or elevators.
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
- Ability to push or pull 10 lbs or more.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
