Director of Partner Engagement
The College invites applications for a Director of Partner Engagement at The Lizzie and Jonathan Tisch Center for Career Exploration. This role focuses on building relationships with Brown alumni, family members, and employer partners to enhance student career exploration and outcomes. The Director will engage, manage, and grow networks that connect students to internships, jobs, mentoring, and professional development opportunities.
Responsibilities- In partnership with Alumni Relations and Advancement, provide strategic leadership for developing and sustaining an active career volunteer network of alumni, parents, and family partners.
- Oversee all aspects of the employer partnership program, leading a team of professional staff (~5-6 FTEs).
- Support new and existing Center initiatives and other College priorities.
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- 7+ years of progressively responsible experience in career services or in alumni relations/advancement, or other directly relevant experience.
- Experience managing staff or otherwise demonstrated capacity to supervise.
- Experience in alumni relations and volunteer management activities; demonstrated ability to develop relationships with key alumni leaders.
- Experience developing and collaboratively managing volunteer networks at a university or non-profit organization.
- Experience managing employer relationships in a recruiting context, or directly overseeing a recruiting program within a career center or for corporate, non-profit, or governmental entity.
- Experience in academic program administration, including planning, development, implementation, assessment, budget management, and operational oversight.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with and mobilize others (staff, faculty, students) to achieve shared results.
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills, discretion, sound judgment, and leadership qualities.
- Comfort working with technology such as career services management platforms and peer-to-peer or student-to-alumni networking platforms; proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
