Our client in Providence, RI is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee multiple project developments within the health and human services sector. The role involves coordinating cross-agency collaboration, managing stakeholder communication, and guiding projects through all phases of the software development life cycle (SDLC).
Key Responsibilities- Leads efforts to strengthen cross-system collaboration and implement integrated business solutions within health and human service systems.
- Manages special project development delegated by agency program leads, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Conducts research and analysis on issues affecting stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations.
- Serves as a primary communication liaison between stakeholders, vendors, and business partners.
- Performs complex program analysis and evaluates departmental services to inform decision-making.
- Develops and maintains ongoing coordination with vendors and partners, keeping agency leads informed of system, program, and policy decisions.
- Engages with subject matter experts to gather input and support project initiatives.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in project management within complex system applications, including planning, stakeholder communication, risk management, and SDLC monitoring.
- Extensive knowledge of project management principles, practices, and techniques for developing interdepartmental programs.
- Strong understanding of SDLC phases—requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance—and their application in large-scale health and human services systems.
- Ability to research, analyze, and prepare reports, process flows, and business requirements.
- Effective communication skills for engaging with diverse stakeholders and translating technical concepts.
- Experience evaluating operational and system impacts for stakeholders.
- Familiarity with health and human service program environments.
