The Manufacturing Process Specialist is responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, safety, and cost effectiveness. This role works closely with production, quality, maintenance and HR teams to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and ensure processes meet operational and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze, design, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve productivity, reduce waste, and enhance product quality
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, including work instructions, process flows, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Monitor process performance using data analysis, KPIs, and statistical tools; recommend corrective actions as needed
  • Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, etc.)
  • Troubleshoot process issues and implement sustainable solutions to minimize downtime and defects
  • Support new product introductions, process validations, and equipment installations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure processes comply with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
  • Train production personnel on new or improved processes
  • Participate in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) activities
  • Identify cost-reduction opportunities while maintaining product quality and safety
Qualifications
  • 2-5+ years of process experience in a manufacturing environment (experience level may vary)
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and equipment
  • Experience with Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies
  • Proficiency in data analysis and process control tools
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
