Job Summary
Set‑up and operate all manual, conversational, and CNC lathes, mills, and grinders (OD, , and surface), key‑seaters, EDM machines, drill presses, and band saws to ensure Manufacturing, IG, and Assemble Production runs at optimal levels. Also service housing and gear department fixtures, assist at the Service Gate for parts from the Tool Room inventory, and set tool settings. Will grow with the company as capabilities expand.
Shift2nd and 3rd shifts with a 10% shift premium.
Responsibilities- Set up and run all Tool Room equipment including grinding, turning, and milling machines.
- Program all CNC machines (G code and conversational).
- Fully service and troubleshoot all Fixtures within the manufacturing facility.
- Assist with the Tool Room’s service door to provide components and machining assistance to keep manufacturing processes moving forward.
- Rig parts and material up to 10k lbs.
- Applicable certifications and/or at least 10 years of experience as a machinist.
- Experience cutting and grinding gears.
- Experience machining parts up to 10k lbs.
- Ability to use gauges and other measuring equipment to ensure quality work.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with continuous interruptions.
- Ability to work with design and service engineers to repair or modify parts as needed.
