Annealing Operator – 2nd Shift
Morvillo Precision Products, a trusted leader in precision manufacturing within the jewelry and precious metals industry, is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Annealing Operator to join our 2nd shift team in Providence, RI. This role plays a critical part in the heat‑treatment process, ensuring metal products meet precise specifications for hardness, strength, and flexibility. - Set up, operate, and monitor annealing furnaces to heat‑treat metal products according to production specifications
- Manage and maintain operation of up to four furnaces simultaneously, ensuring consistent output and quality
- Load and unload materials safely and efficiently into furnaces
- Set and adjust furnace temperature, timing, and cycle controls based on documented procedures and alloy requirements
- Follow established processes for the production and treatment of various metal alloys
- Inspect finished materials to verify conformance to required physical and mechanical properties
- Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting of furnace equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Maintain accurate production records and documentation as required
- Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations and proactively support a culture of safety, including reporting incidents and near misses
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment
- Demonstrate core values in all interactions and responsibilities
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support production needs
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred
- Prior experience operating annealing furnaces or similar heat‑treatment equipment strongly preferred
- Understanding of metal properties, heat‑treating processes, and alloy handling is a plus
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to monitor and adjust equipment settings
- Ability to read and follow detailed work instructions and production documentation
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and processes simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment
- Basic troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
