Job Description Manufacturing Technician I / Assembler | M-F 1st 7am-3:30pm About This Role
The Manufacturing Technician I / Assembler works on-site in Providence, RI, to support medical device manufacturing by performing mechanical and electromechanical assembly, inspection, and documentation activities in a regulated environment. This entry-level role works closely with Manufacturing Engineers and senior technicians to ensure products are built accurately, safely, and in compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
What You’ll Do- Perform mechanical and electro‑mechanical assembly and sub‑assembly tasks following verbal and written work instructions
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and ISO requirements
- Perform visual, in-process, and final inspections with guidance from senior staff
- Assist with maintaining operating records, test results, and medical device assembly documentation
- Update and maintain bills of material and other manufacturing documentation as required
- Contribute to inventory control and material handling procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and device quality
- Escalate issues and concerns to Team Leads or Supervisors as appropriate
- Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering to support lean manufacturing processes
- High school diploma or GED required
- Roughly 1+ years of relevant manufacturing or assembly experience
- Basic knowledge of assembly techniques, materials, tools, and equipment
- Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions
- Basic computer skills
- Strong attention to detail and excellent manual dexterity
- Ability to multitask and perform a wide range of activities
Ability to solder or willingness to learn - Ability to work on-site in Providence, RI in a manufacturing environment
- Prior experience in medical devices, regulated manufacturing, or cleanroom environments
- Familiarity with GMP, ISO, or regulated quality systems
- Soldering, not required
- Experience working with inventory systems or manufacturing documentation
