Job Overview
Kelly, in partnership with a rapidly growing manufacturer, is looking for an Annealing Operator and a Caster/Melter in Providence, RI!
These are direct hire positions meaning you will be hired permanently with our client and offered their competitive benefits, 401k, and compensation package upon hire!
We are looking for someone with at least one year of experience as an Annealing Operator or Caster/Melter Benefits- Health, dental, and vision insurance
- 401k plus a 4% match
- Three weeks of vacation plus 9 paid holidays
- Annealing Operator:
Pay: $18 - $27 per hour, based on experience;
Hours:
4:00 pm – 1:00 am Monday – Thursday and 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Friday (hour flexibility available) - Caster/Melter:
Pay: $20 - $30 per hour, based on experience;
Hours:
6:00 am – 4:30 pm Monday through Thursday
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Annealing Operator to join our precious metals manufacturing team. The Annealing Operator will be responsible for operating and monitoring annealing furnaces and related equipment to heat-treat precious metal products, ensuring quality and compliance with manufacturing specifications.
Key Responsibilities- Set up, operate, and monitor annealing furnaces to heat-treat precious metals according to production instructions and quality standards.
- Load and unload metal materials and products into and out of the furnace.
- Monitor furnace temperatures, times, and atmosphere; adjust controls to maintain specified process parameters.
- Inspect and measure finished products to ensure they meet required specifications and quality guidelines.
- Record process data, temperatures, and production details on logs or electronic systems.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines regarding the handling of precious metals and high‑temperature equipment.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding production status, issues, or equipment malfunctions.
- 1+ years of experience as an Annealing Operator
- Strong understanding of temperature control, metal properties, and safety protocols.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
- Mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to lift and move materials as needed (up to 50 lbs).
- Willingness to work in a hot and industrial environment, with appropriate safety gear.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training is a plus.
