In this role, you will set up and operate precision rolling mills to produce a variety of heavy‑duty metal stock to uniform/precise thickness specifications according to work order requirements. You will work as part of a team, collaborating with other operators and skilled workers.
Monday - Friday 6:00 AM-2:30 PM
EssentialJob Duties:
- Set up machines (calibration, cleaning, etc.) to start a production cycle.
- Operate and monitor production equipment to ensure the equipment is working properly and adjust as needed.
- Feed raw material and inspect parts with precision and measuring tools such as various hand tools, finish slitter machines, micrometers, calculators, and related devices.
- Must follow established company and department rules and regulations and maintain quality standards.
- Must be able to work in a fast‑paced environment and adjust to priority changes and short‑notice activity.
- Support a safety culture by following all safety rules including reporting all incidents and near misses.
- Prior machine operating experience preferably in a metal fabrication facility.
- Excellent mechanical and logical thinking, able to do simple maintenance and repairs.
- Attention to detail, ability to follow written instructions.
- Must be able to read, write and speak English.
- Basic math ability and experience with measuring devices (calipers, micrometers, etc.).
- High School diploma or GED.
- Must follow all safety rules.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
$18.00 to $25.00 per hour
