The Consumable Test Technician II reports directly to the Manufacturing Manager with a dotted-line reporting relationship to the Detector Assembly Manager. This role is responsible for supporting the production and inventory management of critical consumables, including System Reagent Cartridges, System Flush Cartridges, and OhmX HDM-8 Detectors, to meet increasing customer demand.

The successful candidate will perform a variety of manufacturing and testing activities, ensuring products are produced accurately, consistently, and in compliance with quality standards. Key responsibilities include operating automated filling equipment, assembling detector components, maintaining detailed production records, and supporting inventory control processes. Attention to detail, adherence to documented procedures, and a commitment to quality are essential for success in this role.

Under the guidance of the Detector Assembly Manager, the technician will participate in multiple stages of detector production, including precision die placement, wire bonding, cleaning, packaging, and documentation. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to follow established procedures and maintain compliance with ISO 9001 quality standards. • Follow established manufacturing processes and procedures to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Manufacture and prepare consumable cartridges for production and filling operations.
• Operate automated production equipment accurately and safely.
• Perform detector assembly tasks, including die placement, wire bonding, cleaning, inspection, and packaging.
• Record measurements, production data, and inventory transactions with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Maintain inventory levels of consumables and detector components to support production requirements.
• Analyze product and process quality trends and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Troubleshoot production equipment and processes, diagnosing and resolving issues as needed.
• Maintain complete and accurate production, quality, and inventory records using Google Sheets and future MRP systems.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and process documentation updates.
• Assist cross-functional teams and provide support in other operational areas as needed.

• Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing, operations, laboratory, or other technical environment.
• Hands-on experience with complex equipment, systems, or devices, including troubleshooting and problem-solving.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Excellent organizational, documentation, and record-keeping skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong time management and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to follow documented procedures and proactively seek clarification when needed.
• Experience working in a regulated or quality-controlled environment preferred.
• Laboratory safety experience is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and/or Google Workspace.
• Experience with MRP systems and Quality Management Systems (QMS) is preferred.
• Ability to lift and move up to 45 pounds.
