Title:

Detector Assembly Technician Nature of Role:

The Detector Assembly Technician reports directly to the Detector Assembly Manager.

Key responsibilities for this role include full assembly and packaging of OhmX Detectors. Assembly includes manual die attachment performed from wafer level scale, as well as utilizing an automated wedge wirebonder to create electrical connections on the detector. Other responsibilities include plasma cleaning completed detectors, record handling through an internal database, and managing inventory. Candidates must prove the ability to follow documented procedures in compliance with ISO
9001. Candidates should thrive in a fast-paced, mission-driven enterprise and be prepared to tackle new challenges as the company grows.

Responsibilities:
  • Follow processes and procedures to adhere to quality standards
  • Record measurements and inventory in a reliable and accurate manner
  • Balance assembly production for internal use (research and development) and customer use
  • Maintain wirebonder machine and troubleshoot wire bonding issues
  • Record keeping of all assemblies produced in Filemaker database
  • Willingness to help in other areas as needed
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a trainable field
  • Experience with electronics assembly
  • Skilled with delicate hands-on work and fine motor tasks
  • Hands-on experience in working with complex devices and the ability to trouble shoot and problem solve.
  • Clear communication relaying results or problems.
  • Ability to follow procedures and ask questions
  • Lab safety experience a plus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools – Word, Excel, Power Point/Google Suite
