Mars Plastics is seeking a dependable, hands‑on Quality Control / Production Quality Inspector to join our injection molding operation.
This is a production‑floor position focused on inspecting molded parts, maintaining consistent processes, and working with Production and Processors to ensure jobs are set up and run correctly.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Inspect molded parts for defects including flash, short shots, burns, discoloration, warping, sink marks, and other quality issues.
- Perform basic measurements and compare parts to samples and specifications.
- Verify correct materials, colors, components, and packaging.
- Identify and separate defective product and communicate issues to Production and Processors.
- Work with Processors to ensure setups, processes, paperwork, and procedures are documented and repeatable the next time a job is run.
- Help establish standard practices and carry successful processes forward to future production runs.
- Work with Production to maintain quality while meeting production schedules.
- Complete basic quality and production paperwork accurately.
- Manufacturing or quality experience preferred; injection molding experience is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and basic measurement skills.
- Reliable, organized, and comfortable working on a manufacturing floor.
- Able to communicate effectively with Production, Processors, and Supervisors.
- 1st Shift Preferred
- Mars Plastics operates 24 hours a day, 6 days a week.
- Overtime is available based on production needs.
- Hourly pay based on experience and qualifications.
