OVERVIEW

Manage all aspects of alumni reunion gift campaigns, and non-reunion class fundraising efforts with a focus on frontline fundraising strategy for The Fund for Providence College. Plan, implement, and manage class specific solicitation and engagement programs, and/or events, and serve as an annual giving/class giving representative on select committees, as assigned.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Strategically design, implement, and assess class-based fundraising strategies to increase support through FFPC, with particular focus on reunion classes, reunion +1, and pre-reunion years, which may include members of the Board of Trustees, managed prospects, and other high-level donors. Formulate class reunion giving and participation goals for each class and execute plans to achieve them through targeted outreach. Establish and develop relationships with lead alumni in order to cultivate, solicit, and stewardship peer-to-peer outreach.

    Manage the execution of all solicitation assignments. Develop appropriate communications essential to the attainment of class goals, including, but not limited to, targeted emails, solicitation calls, fundraising updates from the College, etc. (40%)
  • Secure reunion gifts from unmanaged prospects with a focus on increasing donations to The Fund for Providence College, PC's annual fund. Leverage the reunion year, reunion +1, and pre-reunion years as a solicitation strategy to increase dollars raised and participation. Cultivate, solicit, and steward prospects, which may include personal visits (in-person and virtual) for cultivation and solicitation purposes, as strategically appropriate.

    Determine and implement the strategies for engaging prospects and donors in ways that bring them closer to the College. In coordination with other fundraisers, craft and execute strategies for comprehensive giving. Summarize personal visits (in-person and virtual), outreach and communications, and proposal details via contact reports within expected timeframe. (30%)
  • Direct efforts through research and screening to help identify prospects with the most significant giving potential. Utilize prospect management tools to prioritize activity and increase productivity. Collaborate with colleagues in annual giving, alumni relations, major gifts, athletics, and engagement to ensure the formulation and implementation of solicitation strategies for prospects in each class in order to maximize the outcome for the class fundraising effort.

    Identify and collaborate with staff and volunteers to assist with identification of prospects for solicitation. (15%)
  • Organize, manage, and implement program-focused (reunion, reunion+1, pre-reunion) that support fundraising objectives. Serve as an annual giving/class giving representative on select internal planning committees. Collaborate with development, alumni relations, engagement, college events, and other campus partners to accomplish program, project, or event objectives to maximize the impact of solicitation and engagement efforts. (15%)
MARGINAL DUTIES

Perform all other duties as may be required.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution required
  • Three to five years of previous fundraising or similar experience at a university or other comparable organization or equivalent professional experience in sales, marketing, training, or public relations.
  • A highly motivated self-starter who is goal oriented with the ability to work independently.
  • Some travel expected.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, management, and motivational skills.
  • Comfort in dealing with a wide range of college constituencies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Solid analytical, decision making, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong computer skills with experience using a CRM database, word processing and spreadsheet applications.
  • Ability to handle highly confidential prospect information
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
