About the internshipFocus:
Marketing and Administration for the Bazaar Program
Cultural Survival's Bazaar, with a rich history spanning 50 years, is a cultural festival that, prior to the pandemic-related hiatus, took place four weekends annually. This event provided a platform for artisans and artists from diverse Indigenous communities worldwide to directly showcase and sell their creations to the American public. Complementing this, the Bazaar featured fair trade vendors with longstanding connections to Indigenous artists.
Aligned with Cultural Survival’s mission to defend and advocate for Indigenous Peoples, the Bazaar has evolved into a vital mechanism for promoting their work, supporting development, and enhancing well-being. The event has cultivated a global network of vendors and artisans, contributing significantly to their livelihoods and adaptability to changing market conditions. Each Bazaar showcases traditional and contemporary crafts from numerous countries, accompanied by cultural performances, presentations, and direct engagement with makers and community advocates.
We are accepting applications for an upcoming remote internship opportunity for Fall 2026 within our Bazaar Program. The selected intern will report to our Bazaar Program Manager, and the initial internship length is 3 months.
