- The Izzy Foundation is a national nonprofit located in Providence, Rhode Island whose mission is to design, fund and IZspire creative projects and programs for families whose children have cancer or other life altering medical conditions to LIVE, LAUGH, LOVE and PLAY.
- Provides all administration support for the coordination, development, implementation, sustainability, organization, awareness and marketing of the Izzy Family Room. Provide administrative support for the coordination, development, implementation, sustainability, and promotion of the Izzy Family Room.
- Coordinates all meals provided to the Izzy Family Room including working with meal sponsors, ordering lunches, managing delivery volunteers, the implementation of serving meals within the Izzy Family Room, delivering meals to inpatient families unable to leave their rooms, assuring all supplies are in the room to assist in serving/delivering food, and organizing the Izzy Family Room calendar.
- Deliver meals to the PICU families. Deliver meals and daily snacks to families in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).
- Assist with maintaining all care and supplies for the Izzy Surgical Waiting Room. Assist in maintaining the Izzy Surgical Waiting Room, ensuring supplies are stocked and the space is welcoming for families.
- Work with interns and volunteers to assure staffing, scheduling, and programs are implemented in the Izzy Family Room. Coordinate with interns and volunteers to support staffing, scheduling, and Family Room programming.
- Maintains all individual snacks and travel sized hygiene items for the Izzy Family Room working with Izzy Family Room staff to organize community drives to assure families in the hospital have the necessary supplies needed on a daily basis. Maintain inventory of individually packaged snacks and travel-sized hygiene items, and collaborate with staff to organize community donation drives that ensure families have access to essential supplies.
- Keeps track of all appliances assuring there working order, but not limited to, microwave, coffee machine, computers, TV, refrigerator, and dishwasher. Monitor and coordinate the maintenance of Family Room appliances and equipment, including the refrigerator, microwave, coffee machine, dishwasher, televisions, and computers.
- Oversee the Izzy Family Room storage room by keeping the space organized and stocked. Maintain an organized and well‑stocked Family Room storage area.
- May participate in fundraising activities that are associated with the Izzy Family Room goods/needs. Assist with fundraising initiatives that support the needs of the Izzy Family Room.
- Performs miscellaneous job‑related duties as assigned. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
- Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year to year basis.
