Providence CTC Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC), located in Providence, RI, is part of Acadia Healthcare's Comprehensive Treatment Centers—the nation's leader in medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for individuals seeking recovery from Opioid Use Disorder. We provide a continuum of care that includes Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), Office-Based Addiction Treatment (OBAT), Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP), and mobile treatment units. Our approach to holistic addiction care extends beyond clinical treatment, incorporating recovery coaching, community outreach and partnerships to ensure patients receive comprehensive, patient-centered support.

With 14 outpatient opioid treatment programs (OTPs) across Rhode Island and Massachusetts, we’re breaking down barriers to care and supporting long-term recovery. Our CTC clinics partner with nursing homes, justice systems, and community groups to provide holistic, patient-centered care. From wellness initiatives and holiday celebrations to yoga and animal therapy, we foster a supportive environment for healing and whole-person well-being.

The Coordinator RN provides basic medical care to patients in an outpatient opioid treatment program (OTP) recovery environment. The RN maintains standards of professional nursing practice in accordance with clinic policies and procedures; ensures the safe delivery of medications in accordance with policies, procedures, and physician/provider orders; and is responsible for thorough, accurate reporting and documentation of patients’ symptoms, responses, medications administered, and treatment progress.

Additionally, the RN manages health-related case management services for the patient population and documents such services in accordance with established standards and regulatory requirements.

• Provides general nursing care and services within the standards and scope of nursing practice, as defined within state Nurse Practice Act regulations, per physician/provider orders, and in conformance with clinic and corporate policies and procedures.
• Assesses patient's status on an ongoing basis and appropriately and accurately documents pertinent information.
• Notifies the physician/provider of significant changes in status such as difficulties with detox, medical emergencies, or change in medical status regarding response to medications, etc.
• Develops nursing treatment plans specific to assessed needs, completes initial treatment plan upon admission.
• Coordinates care for people with opioid dependance who have or are at risk of another chronic condition and builds linkages with and among behavioral healthcare providers, primary cost specialty medical providers, and other community and social supports, and enhances coordination of medical and behavioral healthcare.
• Services provided are comprehensive care management, care coordination and health promotion, comprehensive transitional care, individual and family support services, and chronic condition management.
• Demonstrates knowledge and utilization of universal precautions in providing direct patient care.
• May be required to administer medications per physician/provider orders, accurately documents medication administration, and ensure accurate count of controlled substance medication administration on required documents.
