As the Director of Nursing at Coventry, you will oversee clinical operations on your assigned unit, manage a team of nursing staff, and provide high-quality nursing care to our residents. Responsibilities
  • Provide visionary leadership to the nursing team, promoting a culture of excellence, teamwork, and resident-centered care
  • Oversee daily operations of the nursing unit, ensuring compliance with facility policies, state regulations, and medical standards
  • Recruit, hire, and mentor nursing staff, promoting a positive and supportive work environment
  • Develop, implement, and update policies and procedures, ensuring effective and efficient clinical operations
  • Conduct rounds to ensure resident safety and quality of care, addressing concerns and coordinating interventions as needed
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to develop and implement comprehensive care plans
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing evidence-based practices
  • Foster a culture of open communication, transparency, and accountability within the nursing team
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Nursing Administration or a related field
  • Current, unencumbered State of Rhode Island RN license
  • Current CPR certification
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a nursing leadership role, preferably in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication, and leadership skills
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities with professionalism and tact
  • Reliable, compassionate, and team-oriented
