Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, RI is actively hiring a full‑time Perioperative Assistant Clinical Manager for the multiple departments including Orthopedics, Plastics/GU/Burn, and General Surgery
. In this role, you will be responsible for specialty‑specific preparedness, staff support, and coordinated patient care in partnership with the Nurse Manager, OR floor coordinators, or charge nurses.
This is a full‑time, day shift role with an annual salary of $90,334.40 – $.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a surgical team of up to 25 staff, overseeing daily case flow, scheduling, staffing adjustments, and acting as the main point of contact between surgeons, staff, and leadership
  • Provide hands‑on clinical support and mentorship to RNs and surgical staff in real time, ensuring equipment, supplies, and instrument readiness for each specialty case
  • Support hiring, onboarding, evaluations, and staff development in partnership with the Nurse Manager, including identifying training needs and fostering an inclusive, accountable team culture
  • Steward financial and operational resources by promoting cost‑effective supply and equipment use, tracking utilization trends, and contributing to budget planning
  • Drive quality, safety, and compliance by participating in improvement projects, ensuring documentation accuracy, and upholding hospital policies and regulatory standards including Joint Commission
  • Serve as a leadership partner, covering for the Nurse Manager when needed, supporting departmental goals, and representing the team on hospital committees
Qualifications
  • Current RI RN license required
  • Associate degree in nursing (ADN) required; bachelor’s degree (BSN) preferred
  • 2+ years of relevant perioperative nursing experience required
  • Active member of AORN and CNOR preferred
