Range: $93,600.00 -$ annually

Guided by our core values of Passion, Respect, and Excellence, the Infection Prevention Nurse leads efforts to prevent, identify, and control infections while fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities for an Infection Prevention Wound Care Nurse:
Identify, investigate, monitor, and report trends in healthcare-associated infections to support timely intervention and prevention strategies.
Collaborate with facility leadership, clinical teams, and staff to implement and sustain effective infection prevention and control practices.
Ensure ongoing compliance with all infection prevention and control policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Develop, implement, and evaluate infection control initiatives to reduce risk and improve resident and staff safety.
Provide staff with education and training on infection prevention practices to ensure awareness and adherence to established protocols.
Participate in the facility’s Quality Assessment and Assurance (QAA) committee to support continuous improvement efforts.
Conduct surveillance activities, audits, and assessments to monitor infection control effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement.
Serve as a resource and subject-matter expert on infection prevention guidance across the organization.
Qualifications for an Infection Prevention Wound Care Nurse:
Current nursing license in good standing.
Valid BLS Certification (CPR) required.
Associate degree in Nursing, Public Health, Epidemiology, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or related field required.
Completion of specialized training in infection prevention and control is required.
Certification in Infection Control and Epidemiology (CIC) preferred.
Strong clinical knowledge and analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and implement corrective actions.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to educate and influence staff at all levels.
