Position: Travel Nurse RN - ED - Emergency Department - $2,482 per week

Fusion Medical Staffing‑Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN ED for a 13‑week assignment in Providence, Rhode Island.

Job Summary

The Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) delivers rapid‑response, high‑quality patient care in a fast‑paced emergency department setting. Responsibilities include assessing patient conditions, implementing urgent care plans, administering life‑saving treatments, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient‑centered care.

Responsibilities
  • Rapidly assess and triage patients upon arrival.
  • Explain emergency procedures and treatments to patients and families.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved protocols.
  • Prepare equipment and aid physicians during emergency treatments.
  • Monitor patient comfort and safety throughout the shift.
  • Observe and document patient conditions as required.
  • Take and monitor vital signs and respond to deviations.
  • Respond to life‑saving situations based on standards, policies, and protocols.
  • Document comprehensive nursing assessments, interventions, and outcomes in EMR.
  • Initiate patient education plans as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice.
  • Adhere to safety, infection‑control, and regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications
  • One year recent experience as an ER RN.
  • Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • TNCC, NIHSS, CPI, NRP, and SANE certifications.
  • Other certifications or licenses may be required.
Essential Skills
  • Critical thinking, service excellence, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with written and verbal communication in English.
  • PC proficiency.
  • Physical stamina to move equipment up to 100 lbs and perform duties for the duration of shifts.
  • Interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Technical/motor skills for fine manipulation and equipment use.
  • Mental resilience to work under pressure and irregular schedules.
  • Visual acuity and effective communication.
