RN Nurse, Healthcare Nursing, Clinical Nurse Specialist, Emergency Medicine
The goal of the Emeritus Registered Nurse (E-RN) program is to extend the work-life of the experienced RN, enabling mentoring relationships with graduate and new hire nurses, by conferring knowledge from one generation of nurse to the next. The E-RN uses knowledge, accumulated over a course of a nursing career, to provide support to nursing team members in specific areas of strategic priority related to safety, quality, patient experience, and team member support/engagement.
The E-RN team member's priority is to mentor new nurses into the workforce, via direct observation and guidance, just-in-time education, or shadow observations/partnership which ultimately aids in the delivery of a remarkable patient experience. Through these actions, the E-RN will contribute to the organizations vision of achieving our professional commitment to team members, patients, and families. The E-RN will use Zero Harm safety behaviors/error prevention tools and high reliability strategies as appropriate to ensure a safe, extraordinary patient experience.
Flexible/self-scheduling available.
Brown University Health employees are expected to successfully role model the organization's values of Compassion, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence as these values guide our everyday actions with patients, customers and one another.
