. A rapidly growing, membership-based veterinary care organization is seeking a Medical Director / Lead Veterinarian to lead clinical operations, mentor veterinary teams, and help shape a modern, hospitality-driven approach to pet care. This role combines hands‑on medicine with leadership responsibilities, supporting both doctor development and operational excellence in a collaborative, low‑stress environment designed for pets, clients, and care teams alike.
This role is located in the Greater Boston area. Relocation assistance will be provided.

- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (
DVM
) or equivalent with active state veterinary and DEA licenses - 5+ years of veterinary experience with prior leadership or mentoring responsibilities preferred
- Commitment to practicing high-quality medicine and maintaining clinical excellence
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and team leadership skills
- Experience leading or mentoring veterinary teams in a collaborative environment
- Passion for low‑stress handling, client hospitality, and modern veterinary care models
- Ability to balance clinical leadership with operational and financial awareness
- Experience supporting recruiting, onboarding, scheduling, and doctor development initiatives
- Provide medical care, diagnose and treat patients, and support exceptional client experiences
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of veterinarians through coaching, feedback, and performance management
- Partner cross‑functionally with operations and nursing leadership to ensure strong clinical and operational alignment
- Oversee compliance, scheduling, medical protocols, controlled substances, and overall practice performance
