Position PurposeThe Project Manager will coordinate day‑to‑day implementation of clinical research on addictive behaviors, supporting NIH grant‑funded protocols. The role involves managing research staff and data collection activities across multiple sites to ensure data quality and integrity. The Project Manager works closely with the Principal Investigator to oversee all phases of research, including study design, data collection, management, and reporting or dissemination of findings.
Responsibilities- Lead and train research staff including senior research assistants, graduate research assistants, and students.
- Prepare reports and assist with grant applications and Institutional Review Board (IRB) submissions.
- Design and implement data collection protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Manage NIH Data Sharing Archive structure and create required reports.
- Monitor research team performance, maintain project timelines, and ensure efficient workflow.
- Oversee the maintenance and updating of the lab website, social media, and communications about project accomplishments.
- Arrange investigator and program advisory committee meetings, draft agendas, and take meeting minutes.
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience;
Master’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience. - Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and deadlines independently.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including regulatory and scientific writing.
- Experience training and supervising research staff.
- Experience with IRB submissions and federal research compliance.
- Proficiency with statistical analysis software (e.g., Stata, R) and database software (e.g., File Maker) preferred.
- Experience contributing to scientific manuscript preparation and journal/conference submission processes preferred.

Additional InformationThis is a fixed‑term position with a current end date of June 1, 2027, which may be extended based on available funding.

Travel will be required on a limited basis; the position is primarily onsite.
