Bilingual Retail Sales Associate

Job Summary

Retail Sales Associate at Cox Communications. The role involves creating exceptional customer experiences, driving sales, and contributing to overall store performance. The position requires working evenings, weekends, and holidays, with direct reporting to the Store Manager and guidance from the Assistant Store Manager and team specialists.

Hourly base rate of $18.19 plus commissions. Targeted total compensation is variable: an average of $55,487 per year with the top 10% earning over $72,700. A ramp period of up to 2 months allows adjustment to commission earnings. The hourly rate may vary within $16.83 – $25.19 based on location and experience.

• Explain and demonstrate product capabilities and suggest solutions based on customer wants and needs.
• Meet or exceed targets regarding customer experience, sales, and retention.
• Assist with opening and closing of a store retail environment.
• Properly handle cash transactions.
• Engage in workshops, special events, and product demos.
• Support fellow sales agents when needed.
• Continuously expand knowledge of current Cox products and competitor offerings through regular training classes.
• May be required to work in other locations within the same geographical area.

• Minimum:
  High school diploma/GED or up to 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Ability to meet established sales, retention, and customer experience targets.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills using a consultative, solutions‑based approach.
• Ability to build relationships and adapt to a diverse customer base.
• Multi‑task and prioritize in a fast‑paced service environment.
• Mobile within the store for long periods and capable of lifting 25–50 pounds.
• Computer literacy with an aptitude for learning new products, services, and accessories.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule that includes weekends, evenings, and holidays.

• Some college experience focused on sales, business, or management.
• One year of related experience in sales, retail sales, or the service industry.
• Experience selling wireless/mobility products.
