Sales Associate - Providence Place

Position Overview

Part‑time Sales Associate – Hourly position, starting at $16.00.

• Greet and assist customers promptly, handling multiple customers efficiently.
• Understand and meet customer needs through product knowledge, answering questions, and offering recommendations.
• Promote store events and promotions to enhance the shopping experience and drive sales.
• Resolve customer concerns, using product knowledge to offer alternative solutions and minimize returns.
• Communicate needs to management, including restocking, service requirements, and customer feedback.
• Collaborate with the team to achieve store and company objectives.

• At least 16 years old.
• Available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and occasional overnight shifts.
• Comfortable with or willing to learn technology such as cash registers, handheld, and mobile devices.
• Good communicator who can engage with customers and handle interactions professionally.
• Use basic information‑gathering skills to solve problems.
• Ability to learn procedural knowledge through on‑the‑job training.

• Operate cash register frequently.
• Move merchandise up to 25lb and places/removes items up to a height of 5–10ft.
• Use ladders to retrieve and put away stock.
• Position self to kneel, bend, twist, and stoop as required.
• Communicate accurately with customers, managers, and coworkers, including telephone interactions.
• Move across the sales floor and stock room, assisting customers.
• Able to maintain a stationary, upright position for 80% of the time.
• Identify and follow electronic and print instructions regarding merchandise layouts, schedules, and SOPs.
