Security Officer Medical Facility Patrol – Providence, RI

Responsibilities
  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, and communicate with hospital personnel and/or first responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorized entry where required, and document security‑related incidents, observations, and or daily activities according to site procedures.
  • Support a professional environment by assisting with de‑escalation, providing directions, and reporting hazards, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
Schedule

Daytime – 12:00 AM to 08:00 AM (Mon, Thurs, Fri, Sat, Sun)

$24.91 / Hour

Minimum Requirements
  • Hospital vaccinations are required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
