Field Service Technician​/Industrial Mechanic

Triad Service Center is seeking a qualified Field Technician for service and repair of light industrial equipment in the Providence, RI area. Equipment includes floor scrubbers, sweepers, handicapped carts, checkout lanes, paint shakers, and other commercial customer equipment in large retail and industrial locations. Technicians will also install and service grease containment units used with deep fryers. This position utilizes a company vehicle regionally and requires a valid, good-standing driver’s license.

Work Schedule and Compensation: Primarily Monday-Friday, averaging 40 hours/week. Vehicle, laptop, cell phone, and PAID TRAINING are provided. Starting pay ranges from $22 to $27 per hour.

• Diagnose, repair, and perform service calls and scheduled preventive maintenance on light industrial equipment.
• Provide customer service through on-location maintenance and repairs.
• Inspect, test, and listen to machines to identify malfunctions; dismantle parts to detect wear or misalignment.
• Install new or repaired parts; clean and lubricate machinery components.
• Organize repairs and preventive maintenance by scheduling efficiently; maintain records and report work orders, parts, and supplies.
• Submit work orders, timecards, parts orders, and complete all required paperwork. Treat company equipment responsibly and follow guidelines for using company vehicle.

• Travel may be up to 300 miles per day.
• Must regularly lift/move up to 50 pounds; frequently lift/move up to 100 pounds.
• Exposure to moving mechanical parts, electrical hazards, fumes, and chemicals.
• Work mainly Monday-Friday; weekends and after-hours work possible with emergency pay. On-call ends at 11 am EST on weekends and holidays.
• Follow safety protocols, maintain dependability, and ensure compliance with regulations.
