Job Overview

Pearce delivers technical maintenance, repair, operations, and engineering services for uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems, backup power generators, battery energy storage systems (BESS), critical cooling systems, and other electrical and mechanical infrastructure across end markets such as renewable energy, telecom, and data centers.
Location and TravelThe position is regional and requires candidates to reside in the Providence, Rhode Island area. Extensive daily travel is required, including after‑hours and weekend call‑outs, and occasional overnight trips. Candidates should be comfortable driving to remote work sites and operating a company vehicle safely.
Responsibilities- Maintain cooling systems by diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, or installing and replacing components of entire systems.
- Conduct performance checks and regular maintenance on HVAC equipment.
- Perform additional maintenance or upgrades to out‑of‑season HVAC equipment.
- Respond to service calls in a timely manner, including emergency call‑outs.
- Complete daily work reports accurately and timely.
- Operate and maintain a motor vehicle safely in compliance with employee handbook and insurance requirements.
- Level 2 or Universal EPA Certified (required).
- 3+ years of HVAC maintenance experience, commercial experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of electronic, mechanical, and electrical components, including refrigeration systems, preferred.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). and meet OSHA, FCC, and EPA safety standards.
- Physical capability to lift and move equipment up to 50 pounds.
- Must be available for after‑hours and weekend call‑outs as needed.
- Will be required to travel extensively in an independent work structure.
- Overnight travel may be required; the company covers all travel costs and provides per diem.
Hourly pay ranges from $27.00 to $38.00, depending on experience and location. Compensation may also include performance and referral bonuses, production incentives, tool/equipment and fuel stipends, company vehicle, and per diem.
