Maintenance Technician
South County, RI | $21-$24/hour
West Warwick, South Kingstown, Hopkinton, Richmond, Westerly, Exeter
Position Summary:We are hiring a reliable Maintenance Technician to support routine repairs, preventive maintenance, unit turnovers, and common-area upkeep across South County properties. The ideal candidate is hands‑on, service-oriented, and comfortable working independently across multiple sites.
Reports to:
Maintenance Team Lead
This role supports multiple locations across South County, RI.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Complete routine maintenance and repair work in residential units and common areas.
- Handle work orders, inspections, and preventive maintenance tasks.
- Support unit turnovers, appliance replacement, and general property upkeep.
- Respond to emergency maintenance calls as part of an on-call rotation.
- Use mobile tools to track and complete assigned work.
- 1–3 years of maintenance experience preferred, ideally in residential or multi‑unit housing.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Valid driver’s license, safe driving record, and access to an insured vehicle.
- Experience with plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, or appliance repair.
- Ability to work independently, stay organized, and provide strong customer service.
Competencies:
- Comfort using mobile apps or digital tools for work orders.
- Strong attention to safety and quality.
- Flexible, dependable, and able to participate in an on-call schedule.
- Bilingual English-Spanish is a plus.
Pay Range: $21-$24/hour
