FSRI seeks a Maintenance Technician to ensure the safety, functionality, and upkeep of Lucy’s Hearth properties, both on‑site buildings and scattered site apartments. The technician will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot and repair common building issues, conduct safety inspections, coordinate with contractors, and respond to emergencies while operating in family‑centered environments.

• Perform preventative maintenance on plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry systems.
• Diagnose and repair building issues and remediate safety concerns.
• Conduct routine inspections and document findings.
• Coordinate with hired contractors for larger projects.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and coordinate emergency service.
• Maintain a professional, confidential, and trauma‑informed work environment.

• Experience in general maintenance, facilities management, and contractor coordination.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair common building issues.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and respond to emergencies.
• Experience in shelters or family‑centered environments preferred.
• Understanding of a trauma‑informed, family‑centered setting.
• Valid driver’s license required for site travel.

• Travel between on‑site buildings, scattered site apartments, and supply pick‑ups.
• Lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work using walkways, stairs, elevators, ladders, and rooftop work.
• Adapt to outdoor work throughout the year.
