We are seeking an experienced Controls Electrician / BAS Installer to install, wire, and commission Building Automation Systems (BAS) for commercial and industrial facilities. The ideal candidate has experience with HVAC controls, low-voltage wiring, and electrical installations and can work independently while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
Responsibilities
- Install Building Automation System (BAS) control panels, controllers, sensors, actuators, and field devices.
- Run conduit, pull wire, terminate low-voltage and line-voltage wiring, and label all control circuits.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, control schematics, mechanical plans, and wiring diagrams.
- Install and connect HVAC control equipment including VAV boxes, AHUs, RTUs, boilers, and chillers.
- Perform point-to-point checkout and assist with startup and commissioning.
- Troubleshoot wiring, communication networks, and control devices.
- Maintain compliance with NEC, local electrical codes, and jobsite safety requirements.
- Coordinate with project managers, HVAC technicians, and other trades to complete projects on schedule.
- Complete daily reports and maintain accurate installation documentation.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in commercial electrical work, HVAC controls, or BAS installation.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and control drawings.
- Experience installing DDC control systems and low-voltage wiring.
- Knowledge of BAS communication protocols such as BACnet and Modbus is preferred.
- Familiarity with manufacturers such as Siemens, Johnson Controls, Honeywell, Trane, Schneider Electric, or Distech is a plus.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience bending conduit and installing electrical raceways.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems and sequence of operations.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.
