Controls Electrician

We are seeking an experienced Controls Electrician / BAS Installer to install, wire, and commission Building Automation Systems (BAS) for commercial and industrial facilities. The ideal candidate has experience with HVAC controls, low-voltage wiring, and electrical installations and can work independently while maintaining high-quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Install Building Automation System (BAS) control panels, controllers, sensors, actuators, and field devices.
• Run conduit, pull wire, terminate low-voltage and line-voltage wiring, and label all control circuits.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, control schematics, mechanical plans, and wiring diagrams.
• Install and connect HVAC control equipment including VAV boxes, AHUs, RTUs, boilers, and chillers.
• Perform point-to-point checkout and assist with startup and commissioning.
• Troubleshoot wiring, communication networks, and control devices.
• Maintain compliance with NEC, local electrical codes, and jobsite safety requirements.
• Coordinate with project managers, HVAC technicians, and other trades to complete projects on schedule.
• Complete daily reports and maintain accurate installation documentation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in commercial electrical work, HVAC controls, or BAS installation.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and control drawings.
• Experience installing DDC control systems and low-voltage wiring.
• Knowledge of BAS communication protocols such as BACnet and Modbus is preferred.
• Familiarity with manufacturers such as Siemens, Johnson Controls, Honeywell, Trane, Schneider Electric, or Distech is a plus.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
