Temporary Maintenance Technician

Viridian Staffing's client is looking for a Temporary Maintenance Technician to join a fast-growing cannabis company about 30 minutes outside of the Providence, Rhode Island, area on the Massachusetts side. For the right candidate, this could convert to a permanent position. In this role, you will have the responsibility of assisting the Maintenance Supervisor with routine, emergency, and scheduled maintenance and equipment upkeep in the facility and the upkeep of the facility itself.

You will get the opportunity to help perform a variety of maintenance functions including but not limited to changing filters on ventilation equipment, basic plumbing repairs, inspection and light repair of doors, railings, lights, fans, etc., and daily visual inspections. You will ensure the facility is maintained, along with helping to repair any equipment malfunctions. With your proven problem solving skills, you'll strive for continuous process improvement, including but not limited to anticipating the maintenance, cleaning, and security needs of the facility.

You should have 1+ year of experience in maintenance and general repair experience, ideally in industrial building maintenance. Preferably you will have knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and/or building equipment. You will need to have the ability to read machine prints, perform machine repair, and have hands on experience with installing piping systems (air, water, steam), industrial electrical instillations, and control circuits.

You have solid communication skills. You're also known for your ability to work under pressure in a production environment using mechanical, electrical and plumbing trouble-shooting skills. The ideal candidate for this role must also have basic computer knowledge. You must also be eligible to work for a licensed cannabis operation in the State of Massachusetts.
