Cool Sys, a leader in HVAC-R engineering, installation, and service, is seeking an HVAC/R Pipefitter Journeyman to install and maintain piping systems on commercial and industrial projects. In this field role, you'll lay out, assemble, and secure copper and steel piping for HVAC and refrigeration systems, read blueprints, perform brazing/welding, and conduct pressure tests and leak checks. You'll work hands-on with a safety-first, team-focused crew, support start-ups and troubleshooting, and help deliver efficient, reliable, and energy-optimized mechanical systems for customers across North America.

Responsibilities

  • Install, assemble, and support HVAC/R piping for commercial and industrial projects
  • Read and interpret blueprints, isometrics, and piping diagrams to lay out work
  • Brazing and welding copper and steel piping to HVAC/R and mechanical equipment
  • Perform pressure tests, leak checks, and system flushing to ensure integrity
  • Collaborate with technicians, electricians, and project managers for coordinated installs
  • Follow all Cool
  • Sys and OSHA safety policies and use appropriate PPETroubleshoot and repair existing HVAC/R piping and related components
  • Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and materials used
  • Operate hand and power tools, lifts, and equipment safely and efficiently
  • Train or mentor apprentices and junior installers as assigned
