Position Summary:
Responsible for partnering with families and supporting the wraparound facilitator to implement wraparound services. May provide direct support and services to families. Responsible for connecting families with peer families facing similar challenges and with community resources.
The FSP will partner with and support families with children and youth who are at risk for abuse and neglect, who have serious emotional disturbance (SED) or a developmental disability (DD), and/or who have juvenile corrections involvement in the home and/or school setting. Service is provided by family choice and can vary in length, with the goal of empowering families toward self‑efficacy.
Outreach responsibilities make up approximately 50% of the role. The FSP Outreach Coordinator promotes FCCP program services by engaging with community members and various entities that interact with residents of Providence and Cranston, participates in community outreach events, resource fairs, and co‑location opportunities, and tracks all outreach efforts and outcomes to inform future outreach initiatives.
Qualifications- Peer mentor with experience parenting a child with SED, DD, or having been involved with child welfare services or juvenile corrections.
- Knowledge and competencies to support another parent or caregiver.
- Wraparound training and certification required (will be provided in service).
- Willingness and ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
- Proficiency in Excel and experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
- Bilingual or ASL skills receive an additional 6% above base pay.
- Multilingual skills receive an additional 8% above base pay.
- Travel to and from clients’ residences, community locations, and office sites, which may include using walkways, stairs, and/or elevators.
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
- Ability to communicate by voice, use sight and hearing.
