Resident Service Coordinator

Position SummaryThe role of the Resident Service Coordinator is to enable residents to live as independently and self-sufficiently as possible. RSCs link residents to existing services and resources in the community, assist residents to build an informal support network among themselves, encourage residents to be proactive in meeting their social, psychological and physical needs, provide conflict resolution assistance as appropriate and seek out assistance with existing community resources when needed.
- Build strong relationships with residents and local organizations to support community engagement and resource access.
- Coordinate services, referrals, and programs that promote self-sufficiency, including financial literacy, job readiness, and youth enrichment.
- Handle resident concerns, process accommodation requests, and assist with lease violations and conflict resolution.
- Participate in unit inspections and follow up on issues such as housekeeping or unauthorized occupants.
- Support community safety efforts and collaborate with local police, resident leaders, and watch groups.
- Attend meetings, maintain records, ensure confidentiality, and assist with company programs and other duties as assigned.

- Open work area with moderate everyday noise
- Travel may be required for off-site events and for team members assigned to more than one property
- High School diploma (or equivalent) required; bachelor’s degree in social work, gerontology or other social science preferred
- Two years’ experience as a Resident Service Coordinator or Case Manager in an appropriate facility preferred
- Experience with networking and relating well with the elderly and underserved populations in an appropriate environment and arranging or coordinating services as needed
- Understand and have experience with independent living philosophy
- Knowledge of the American with Disabilities Act
- Experience advocating and facilitating services for persons with disabilities and the elderly
