Assistant Coach, Club Golf
Brown University Athletics and Recreation is seeking candidates for the Assistant Coach, Club Golf position. Located in Providence, Rhode Island, this seasonal role supports the university’s intercollegiate athletics program, which includes 34 varsity teams and approximately 1,000 NCAA‑DI athletes.
Responsibilities- Assist the Head Coach in leading Brown’s highly competitive men’s club golf program.
- Participate in on‑campus and off‑campus practices and competitions.
- Oversee safety and risk management for the team.
- Coach players in golf rules, etiquette, skills, and technique.
- Support athletes’ conditioning for proper participation in the sport.
- Promote recreational golf opportunities across the Brown campus.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Some prior golf coaching experience, preferred.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Certification in CPR, AED, and First Aid.
- Background check (criminal and DMV) must be cleared prior to employment.
- All offers of employment are contingent upon successful background and education verification.
- Compliance with NCAA and Ivy League rules and regulations is mandatory.
- Coaching staff must attend annual NCAA legislation education and maintain current medical certifications (AED/CPR/First Aid).
