Lead Shipper

Overview

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Lead Shipper to join our 1st shift shipping department team. This role is for a proactive and experienced individual who can manage shipping operations, with a strong emphasis on international logistics and customer service. The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, and ready to take on a leadership role in a fast-paced environment.

• Lead and coordinate daily shipping operations to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
• Manage international shipping procedures, including documentation, customs forms, and compliance.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for customer service inquiries related to shipping, tracking, and delivery issues.
• Operate Fed Ex or UPS shipping software to process packages and generate labels.
• Handle and prepare shipments of hazardous materials or metal goods, if applicable.
• Perform start-up and shut-down procedures for shipping equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
• Complete necessary shipping documentation and reporting.
• Work effectively with team members and leadership to meet shipping goals.

Pay will be offered based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, and certifications.

• Previous experience in a shipping or logistics role is required.
• Proven experience with international shipping and customs procedures.
• Strong proficiency with Fed Ex or UPS shipping software.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Experience with Hazardous Materials or metal shipping is a strong plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and a team player.
