Valet Attendant - Traffic Controller

Position Summary

A Valet Attendant
- Traffic Control ler i s responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient traffic flow in construction zones or areas prone to the impact of traffic. Valet Attendant
- Traffic controllers will need to support other workers by valeting cars or stepping into different garage roles when necessary.

Schedule:
Mondays
- Fridays 9am - 5:30pm or 7:30am - 4pm

D irect traffic safely and efficiently, using hand signals, flags, or other signals to guide vehicles and pedestrians through construction sites or around road closures.

A lways be vigilant and aware of potential hazards. They must ensure drivers and pedestrians follow safety protocols and take appropriate precautions to prevent accidents.

Traffic controllers must communicate effectively with drivers, pedestrians, and other workers.

M ay be responsible for setting up cones, barriers, and other traffic control devices , ensur ing these devices are visible to drivers.

Monitoring traffic flow:
Traffic controllers must monitor traffic flow to identify potential problems or bottlenecks. They may need to adjust their signals or take other actions to keep traffic moving smoothly.

M ust follow all safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and ensure their safety.

Education Requirements:

High School Diploma/GED

You must be 18 or older to apply.

Own a driver's license.

Pass an RMV background check

Maintain a professional and polite manner.

Adheres to VPNE's attendance policy

Ability to read, write and verbally communicate in English

Operates vehicles safely to minimize the potential for accidents.

Oversee tracking of keys and cars throughout the garage.

Maintain garage organization and cleanliness.

Sets the tone for the workplace by keeping an upbeat attitude.

Must be enthusiastic about the job, creating a positive environment for the team members and customers to enjoy.
