Senior Account and Financial Analyst
Deliver comprehensive financial analysis, develop and maintain financial models, and prepare key financial reports—including budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses—to support strategic decision‑making. Monitor critical financial metrics, partner with cross‑functional teams to ensure data accuracy, and contribute to month‑end and year‑end close activities. Prepare presentations for senior leadership, conduct market and industry research, support the development of financial policies, provide ad hoc analysis, and participate in special projects.
Responsibilities- Deliver comprehensive financial analysis and develop advanced financial models.
- Prepare key reports such as budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses.
- Monitor critical financial metrics and ensure data accuracy.
- Contribute to month‑end and year‑end close activities.
- Prepare and present financial insights to senior leadership.
- Conduct market and industry research to inform strategic initiatives.
- Support development of financial policies and procedures.
- Provide ad hoc analysis and participate in special projects.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; experience in comprehensive financial analysis.
- Deep knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in Excel, financial planning tools, and ERP systems.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for cross‑department collaboration.
- At least five years of financial analysis experience, preferably in mining or manufacturing.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CFA preferred.
- Data‑driven, detail‑oriented mindset for accurate financial modeling and reporting.
- Proactive ownership of work and ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
- Strong communication skills to present insights to management and collaborate across teams.
- Continuous‑improvement mentality, supporting financial policy development.
- Curiosity, initiative, and adaptability in market research, special projects, and ad hoc analysis.
