Our Caregivers are responsible for caring for our elderly residents, assisting them in all cares of daily living (ADLs), documenting and notifying RCC and nurse of any changes or concerns in our residents' condition, as well as all duties given them as assigned by the Administrator or Resident Care Coordinator.

• Basic computer skills
• Self-Starter and able to work independently
• Ability to work as part of a team and to handle multiple tasks safely and effectively
• High tolerance for working under pressure and handling critical situations with a cool head
• Good communication skills, such as being able to communicate effectively with residents, staff, family members, and professionals. Including the ability to communicate sensitive information with empathy ("bedside manner")
• Possess a love for the elderly
• Have a positive and compassionate attitude

A background check is required for this position upon hire as well as food handlers permit, CPR/First Aid certification, and a TB test.

We are hiring primarily for day shift QMAPS (630 am-630 pm), but are open to hiring caregivers with other availability as well.

Administers prescribed medications to patients and maintains related medical records under supervision of RCC and RN. Verifies identity of patient receiving medication and records name of drug, dosage, and time of administration on specified forms or records. Presents medication to patient and observes ingestion or other application, or administers medication, using specified procedures. Provide assistance to residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, cooking, incontinence, cleaning, medication administration, laundry, oral care.

Maintain the dignity and privacy of all residents. Protect all resident rights. Assist residents with personal needs as requested, while helping to maintain the resident's independence and well-being. Document appropriately services delivered to residents and any significant changes in condition. Report any concerns with the health and well-being to the Resident Care Coordinator, Nurse, or Administrator. Maintain and protect the confidentiality of resident information at all times.

Meet or exceed, the standards of appearance; comply with the sanitation rules, hygiene and health standards of community personnel. Responsible for administration of resident medications according to the nurse practice act. Ability to function independently.
