Accounting Manager

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to support the day-to-day accounting operations of two growing businesses:
Gathre (a consumer products brand) and Moor Fulfillment (a 3PL and logistics operation).

This role is ideal for someone who is hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating with a high degree of autonomy. You will own core accounting processes, perform detailed reconciliations, and help design and improve workflows that reduce manual effort and increase accuracy. This role requires independent thinking and the ability to develop solutions without close day-to-day management.

• Own accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, cash application, collections support, and AR reporting
• Perform detailed balance sheet and income statement reconciliations on a recurring basis
• Manage monthly close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis
• Maintain accurate financial records in Quick Books Online for multiple entities
• Identify, build, and document improved processes to make time-intensive and repetitive accounting work more efficient
• Support accounts payable workflows and vendor reconciliation as needed
• Assist with inventory accounting, landed cost tracking, and COGS reconciliation
• Partner with the CFO on financial reporting, forecasting inputs, and process improvements
• Independently diagnose issues, develop solutions, and implement improvements in a fast-moving environment
• Coordinate with external partners including bookkeeping firms, tax advisors, and lenders
• Reconcile Shopify sales activity to accounting records, including payouts, fees, refunds, and timing differences

• 3+ years of accounting or accounting manager experience
• Strong working knowledge of Quick Books Online
• Demonstrated experience performing detailed reconciliations and managing clean closes
• Proven ability to work independently with limited oversight
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail with strong organizational and follow-through skills
• Ability to manage competing priorities and adapt quickly as needs evolve
• Strong working knowledge of Quick Books Online and Shopify, including reconciliation of Shopify orders, payouts, fees, refunds, and revenue to the general ledger

• Experience supporting multiple entities or intercompany accounting
• Experience improving or automating manual accounting workflows
• Exposure to fulfillment, logistics, or e-commerce businesses
• Experience helping transition work from external providers to internal teams
