This role offers a competitive wage of $21.15–$26.81 /hour and plays a key part in keeping our financial operations running smoothly. You'll guide day-to-day accounting processes, support clinic teams with accurate financial reporting, and help ensure compliance across accounts payable, receivable, and related fiscal procedures. Compensation: $19.14–$26.81 DOE and Education

What You’ll Do as an Accounting Tech- Process and monitor accounts payable: receive vouchers, verify coding accuracy, prepare payment batches, and run EFTs/checks
- Maintain vendor records, reconcile statements, research unpaid items, and collaborate with staff or vendors to resolve errors.
- Handle accounts receivable tasks, including receipting funds, reconciling deposits, preparing daily bank deposits, and maintaining tracking spreadsheets.
- Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities: data entry, reconciliations, and required reporting.
- Assist with specialized financial tasks such as 1099 generation, Medicaid cost report support, petty cash audits, and maintaining credit card transaction logs.
- Provide ongoing training to employees on correct accounting forms, coding, receipting, and documentation requirements.
- Maintain orderly and compliant financial files; assist auditors by retrieving documentation and preparing requested reports.
- Perform administrative duties, attend meetings, and assist with special financial projects as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- One to two years of college-level coursework in accounting, bookkeeping, or a related field preferred.
- One to two years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, bookkeeping practices, and AP/AR processes.
- Familiarity with Medicaid/Medicare or medical billing environments is a plus.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, data entry, and accounting software; ability to work accurately with numbers and deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to train staff, collaborate across teams, and problem‑solve with vendors and employees.
- High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and comfort working in a fast‑paced environment with time-sensitive tasks.
- Typing and computer proficiency required.
