We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team and support key general ledger functions within our organization. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records, assisting with the month-end close process, and contributing to the continuous improvement of our accounting operations.## What we are looking for
** Responsibilities
* ** Assist in managing the general ledger, including preparation and review of complex journal entries and variance analysis to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
* Support SOX compliance initiatives, including documentation and testing of internal controls, and work with the SEC Reporting Manager on financial reporting activities and remediation as needed.
* Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including account reconciliations, financial statement schedules, and balance sheet reviews, ensuring a timely and accurate close.
* Prepare and analyze financial reports to support management decision-making, identify trends, and ensure regulatory compliance, including the application of ASC 606 revenue recognition principles.
* Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts, including royalty obligations to content creators and partners, with a focus on accuracy, proactively identifying and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.
* Support internal and external audit processes, providing timely documentation, schedules, and analytical support.
* Identify and drive process improvements within the accounting team, including leveraging AI tools and automation opportunities to enhance workflows and strengthen internal controls.
** Qualifications
* ** 3-5 years of accounting experience in a similar role, with a strong focus on general ledger, financial close, and account reconciliations; public company or public accounting experience a plus.
* Strong knowledge of GAAP and general ledger accounting principles, with the ability to apply technical guidance to complex transactions.
* Advanced proficiency with Excel and experience with accounting or ERP systems (Net Suite experience strongly preferred).
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to interpret and communicate complex financial data.
* Ability to work independently, prioritize competing deadlines, and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with minimal supervision.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and present financial information clearly to non-accounting stakeholders.
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or progress toward CPA preferred.
