Summary
This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command. The role is in the Technician/Administrative Support Work Category at the Full Performance Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure, located in the DISA OC/DISA GLOBAL - BUSINESS OPERATIONS DIVISION (RN1).
Duties- Prepare and coordinate the preparation, release control, and distribution of all correspondence, reports, briefings, and other documents for routing and signature through the command and DISA Headquarters.
- Maintain calendars for the Command Group, Division Chief, and conference rooms, scheduling appointments as authorized.
- Gather and consolidate data and assist in studies, analyses, and projects to develop work methods, techniques, and procedures for DISA Global Field Command.
- Serve as a timekeeper and maintain time and attendance records for the Command.
- Assist with travel arrangements, preparation of travel orders, and submission of travel vouchers.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Males born after 12‑31‑59 must be registered or exempt from Selective Service.
- Position requires a favorable suitability review and a SECRET security clearance; maintenance of clearance is essential.
- Travel may be required away from the normal duty station.
- Applicant must certify typing 40 words per minute.
In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the following requirements.
Qualifying ExperienceAt least one year of experience demonstrating competencies for immediate success. Experience may include paid, unpaid, volunteer, or military service equivalent to work at the next lower grade level.
Relevant experience:
- Administrative support: creating travel requests, reviewing and preparing memos, briefings, and other documents, maintaining multiple calendars, using time and attendance systems.
- Experience with office automation systems such as Microsoft Office Suite to generate documents and coordinate meetings.
One full year of graduate level education or superior academic achievement may be substituted for experience if transcripts are provided.
Foreign education credentials must be evaluated by the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services.
Additional InformationThis appointment does not confer eligibility for conversion to the Competitive Service. A three‑year trial period may be required if no prior trial or probationary period exists. Telework availability is mission dependent. Shift work may be required during crises. The Department of Defense policy applies to annuitant eligibility. Veterans’ preference applies as per DoD Instruction 1400.25.
