Position Title:
Library Circulation Services Specialist
Provo City is seeking a Circulation Services Specialist to perform technical, administrative operations and supervisory work assisting with the supervision of multiple library circulation operations. The single position allocated to this classification is responsible to a Senior Librarian and performs assigned tasks under general supervision. This work is distinguished from lower-level work by its responsibility to assist with the supervision of multiple library circulation operations and supervise assigned Library Pages and Clerks.

Pay Rate: (G20) $19.00 - $26.20 per hour (depending on experience)

Responsibilities- Assist in the efficient circulation of library materials.
- Assure delivery of outstanding customer service with circulation desk transactions.
- Assist library patrons in selecting, locating, and using library materials and equipment.
- Address patron library account concerns.
- Check library materials in and out.
- Monitor the condition of library materials and determine appropriate repair methods.
- Perform various administrative tasks.
- Supervise, plan, coordinate, and monitor work of assigned employees including workload distribution and scheduling.
- Ensure accurate and efficient work completion.
- Identify, evaluate, and resolve employees' concerns.
- Monitor the quality and quantity of work performed by assigned employees and provide feedback to them.
- Assist other staff members and perform other related duties as required.
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Three years of experience as a Library Assistant OR 2 years of college-level coursework in Library Science, Office Technology, or related field and 1 year as a Library Assistant.
- A valid, lawful Driver License may be required.
