General Education Program Assistant for UNIV 101:
First-Year Foundations
You will provide high-level operational and administrative support to the Assistant Director and the Director of BYU First-Year Foundations. This role serves as the central hub for UNIV 101. You will manage the logistics of the course and assist in the refinement of course curriculum, program management, and faculty training.
What you will be doing in this position
Program Operations and Logistics:
- Lead the complex semesterly puzzle of scheduling classrooms for all sections of UNIV 101
- Utilize university systems to manage course data, track faculty assignments, and schedule rooms
- Coordinate the logistics for UNIV 101-related events, including room reservations and catering
- Serve as the primary point of contact for students and parents regarding UNIV 101 registration
- Act as a resource for UNIV 101 faculty regarding scheduling, training, and administrative procedures
- Assist leadership as needed to refine course curriculum
- Assist with all other aspects of UNIV 101 administration
Minimum education/experience required:
- Bachelor's degree and 2 years of office management or administrative assistant experience in a high pressure environment.
- Commitment to the mission of a BYU education
- Detail Orientation: A systems-thinker capable of managing high volumes of data and complex calendars without oversight
- Communication:
Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with high-level administrators and navigate sensitive conversations with parents - Technical Proficiency:
Strong competence in office productivity suites (Microsoft 365) and a quick mastery of university-specific platforms - Mission Alignment: A deep commitment to the AIMS and Mission of a BYU Education
- Experience with program administration and university functioning

Typical Starting Pay: $20.25-$26.50
The actual compensation offered will take into consideration internal equity and may vary based on the candidate's job-related experience, knowledge, skills, and other relevant factors. Candidates with very significant work-related experience may receive an offer higher than the posted typical range.
