Responsibilities
- Provide personal financial services at assigned military installations.
- Offer full breadth of personal financial counseling services to service members and families.
- Conduct one‑on‑one counseling, briefings, presentations, and consultations.
- Provide referrals to external resources when appropriate.
- Assist service members in establishing spending plans for extended absences.
- Develop and distribute informational financial materials.
- Coordinate, publicize, and conduct personal financial management classes/workshops covering the military lifecycle.
- Respond to requests for age‑appropriate classes or seminars.
- Utilize virtual counseling or other electronic communication methods.
- Manage duty‑to‑warn situations per DoD protocol.
- Communicate with leadership and participate in regular supervision, in‑services, training, and quality‑improvement committees.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree required (or associate degree plus 4 years experience, or high school diploma plus 6 years experience).
- 3+ years of financial counseling experience.
- Must be U.S. citizen and speak fluent English; bilingual in English and Spanish possible depending on contract.
- Must obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation.
- Must pass the Congressionally Mandated Disclosures for Organizational Conflicts of Interest (OCI) process.
- Must hold at least one of:
Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC). - Valid driver's license is preferred.

Salary range: $58,440 – $93,500.
