Project Engineer | Assistant Project Manager

Performs and assists with a variety of project management / accounting duties.

• Creation of jobs in various company systems at startup
• Collection of reports at closeout and publishing of closeout documentation
• Creation of Homeowner’s Manual
• Registration with the State Construction Registry

• Input and delivery of project trade contracts using company systems
• Input and delivery of client change orders using company systems
• Input/creation of regular project billing using company systems
• Lien release creation, collection, and tracking
• Recording client selections in company systems
• Takeoffs for verifying quantities
• Bid analysis
• Creation / verification of finish schedules

• Other documentation and special projects as needed

• Construction experience and/or degree in Construction Management or related degree

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent documentation and organizational skills
• Proven computer skills and experience in Excel and Word
• Experience with accounting / database programs is helpful
• Time management skills

The employee is also required to frequently inspect the project and will be exposed to ongoing construction and various weather conditions, including rain, sleet, snow, wind, and heat.

The noise level in the work environment may range from moderate to loud. Works from a normal office setting; however, performs a significant amount of work in all spaces within the facility. May need to work outside in all types of weather or in all kinds of work environments.

May be exposed to extremes of heat and cold as well as certain unsafe environments; occasionally works near moving equipment and mechanical parts, heavy machinery, lasers, powder-actuated tools, and electrical equipment; possible exposure to fumes or airborne particles; possible exposure to internal liquids. This is a safety sensitive position where a momentary lapse of attention can result in serious injury or death.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and occasionally very loud. Must follow all safety requirements carefully.
